A Memory of Light

This painting is an attempt to translate the specific feeling of the desert at dusk—that brief window where the air feels heavy with color and the landscape finally begins to settle. I was drawn to the contrast between the dark, tangled silhouettes of the palms and the soft, glowing light hitting the peaks behind them.
